Manos Tentzeris, a professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech, received the World-Wide Distinguished Professor Award, given by the Ministry of Education of China and the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs of China.
A highly selective honor, this award will provide support for Dr. Tentzeris to establish the first "green" wireless electronics and sensors program in China in collaboration with South China University of Technology, which is located in the city of Guangzhou.
Dr. Tentzeris will work on this project with RongLin Li, who served as a research scientist in Dr. Tentzeris' research lab until earlier this year. Dr. Li is now a faculty member in the School of Electronic and Information Engineering at South China University of Technology.
