Ana Yepes, a master's student in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Georgia Tech, has won an IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society Predoctoral Thesis Award.
A 2008 Georgia Tech B.S.E.E. graduate with highest honors, Ms. Yepes is currently finishing her master's degree in the Microwave Circuit Technology Group, which is led by ECE Professor John Papapolymerou. Her research focuses on the design of compact and lightweight integrated antenna arrays in X-band and Ka-band, using multilayer low-cost organic layers for remote sensing and radar applications.
