The Georgia Tech School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) recognized and celebrated the achievements of its students, staff, and faculty with honors from the Roger P. Webb Awards Program.

In a 50-minute live-stream video, research leaders presented a detailed plan for ramping up the Institute’s research enterprise over the summer in preparation for the Fall 2020 semester.

Two ECE employees will receive 25-Year Service Awards, and eight ECE employees will receive 10-Year Service Awards.

Four faculty members and six students from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering were honored with awards usually presented at the Georgia Tech Faculty Staff Honors Luncheon and the Georgia Tech Student Honors Celebration. 

Lillian Anderson is the 2020 recipient of the Helen Grenga Outstanding Woman Engineer Award, which is chosen by the Women in Engineering (WIE) program at Georgia Tech.

ECE Ph.D. candidate Mohammad Taghinejad has been awarded a 2020 Optics and Photonics Education Scholarship by SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics, for his potential contributions to the field of optics, photonics or related field. 

James D. Meindl, our treasured friend and colleague in the Georgia Tech School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), passed away peacefully on June 7, 2020 at his home in Greensboro, Georgia after a long illness.
