The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech maintained its ranking of 6th place in electrical engineering in the 2011 graduate program rankings from U.S. News & World Report.

This year, the publication did not rank computer engineering programs because they chose to publish their new computer science rankings. U.S. News will resume doing computer engineering rankings next year.

"Our continued success can be attributed to recruiting and retaining the finest faculty and students that are supported by an excellent group of research and administrative staff," said Gary May, professor and Steve W. Chaddick School Chair of ECE. "While these sorts of rankings mean different things to different people, I am very proud of our long record of sustained high placements among the very best of our peers."
