Jong Hwan Ko and Saibal Mukhopadhyay received the Best Paper Award at the International Symposium on Low Power Electronics and Design (ISLPED 2016), the premier conference in the area of low power electronics, on August 10 in San Francisco, California.

Mohammad Faisal Amir, Duckhwan Kim, and Jae Ha Kung received the Best Student Paper Award at the IEEE SOI-3D-Subthreshold Microelectronics Technology Unified Conference (IEEE S3S), held October 10-13, 2016 in San Francisco, California.

Saibal Mukhopadhyay has been appointed to the Joseph M. Pettit Professorship, effective May 1, 2018.

Four Georgia Tech faculty members were named IEEE Fellows, effective January 1, 2018. They are BME Professor Jaydev Desai, ECE Professors Saibal Mukhopadhyay and Justin Romberg, and GTRI Senior Research Engineer Kevin James “Jim” Sangston.

Five Ph.D. students from the Georgia Tech School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) won Best Paper in Session Awards at SRC TECHCON 2014, the most of any university attending the conference.

ECE Ph.D. student Monodeep Kar received a Best in Session Award at SRC TECHCON 2015, held September 20-22 in Austin, Texas.

An interdisciplinary research team from Georgia Tech, representing the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) and the George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering (ME), won the Best Paper Award at the IEEE/ACM ISLPED 2015.
