Harnessing the power of explainable AI, researchers have unveiled the first insights into the complex workings of deep brain stimulation therapy for severe depression.

Paul Steffes, a professor emeritus in ECE, has received NASA's Exceptional Scientific Achievement Medal for his pivotal role in unveiling the secrets of Jupiter's atmosphere through the Juno mission.

Larry Heck — who holds a joint appointment between ECE and the School of Interactive Computing — followed an unorthodox path to becoming a professor at Georgia Tech. It was this path, however, that led him to a unique position that allows him to bridge the gap between industry research and academic research.
