The Georgia Tech chapter of Eta Kappa Nu recently awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Ackshaey Singh, a junior majoring in computer engineering.
The Georgia Tech chapter of Eta Kappa Nu (HKN) recently awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Ackshaey Singh, a junior majoring in computer engineering. This award is provided through an endowment funded by the HKN Lab Supplies Project.
Mr. Singh came to Georgia Tech and the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) in fall 2008 from New Delhi, India and is a member of the Georgia Tech Honors Program. He has been actively involved with a number of campus organizations, including Emerging Leaders, NSCS, President's Council Governing Board, SGA Planning and Development Committee, and was recently elected the membership chair of Tau Beta Pi. For his involvement and academic performance, he was awarded the Omicron Delta Kappa Freshman Leadership Award in his first year at Georgia Tech. Mr. Singh has also served as a teaching assistant in the College of Computing since his freshman semester and as Team Leader for GT1000. He has also received the Faculty Honors distinction every semester at Georgia Tech.
Currently co-oping at ABB Ventyx as a software developer, Mr. Singh plans to graduate in fall 2012 and pursue a master's degree in ECE.
