ECE Professor Ali Adibi has been chosen for a Defense University Research Instrumentation Program (DURIP) Award by the Army Research Office.

ECE's Nelson Lourenco, Reza Pourabolghasem, and Dogancan (Can) Temel were chosen for Sigma Xi Best Ph.D. Thesis Awards, which were presented at the Georgia Tech Sigma Xi Awards Banquet on April 18.

ECE Professor Ali Adibi has been named editor-in-chief of the Journal of Nanophotonics for a three-year term.

In recognition of the Ph.D. candidate's research on machine learning for inverse design and knowledge discovery in nanophotonics.

Each year, ten outstanding society student members from around the world are awarded an IEEE Photonics Society Graduate Student Scholarship.

ECE Ph.D. student Sajjad Abdollahramezani has received a SPIE Scholarship, which recognizes excellence in both research and leadership abilities.
