Based in the Interdisciplinary Design Commons (IDC) at Georgia Tech, The Hive is a student organization that is open to all students in any area of study. We are a community where ideas, innovation, and creativity come to life. We work to cultivate a multidisciplinary culture of student makers and designers who are passionate about learning new skills, helping other students, and above all, creating, by providing an easily accessible engineering space.

The Hive is a group of undergraduate and graduate students at Georgia Tech. These students are rigorously trained to use all of the IDC’s equipment, and volunteer their time as Peer Instructors (PIs) that work to create a comfortable, low-pressure learning environment and aid students using the space to help them safely accomplish their goals.
