A recap of several new robotics projects at Georgia Tech

Members of the Georgia Institute of Technology Chapter of the IEEE Hardware Team took home the third place trophy in the student Hardware (Robotics) Competition at SoutheastCon held March 30 – April 2, 2017 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Each year, Georgia Tech hosts the FIRST LEGO League State Championship Tournament and welcomes more than 200 budding engineers and scientists to campus.

ECE Professor Ayanna Howard has been selected as one of Atlanta magazine’s 2017 Women Making a Mark, a distinction reserved for a select group of women working to grow and strengthen the metro Atlanta community.

Four projects set to move forward at the Georgia Institute of Technology aim to lay the groundwork for manufacturing next-generation flexible electronics, which have the potential to make an impact on industries ranging from health care to defense.

ECE Assistant Professor Manos Antonakakis will serve as a panelist at the CableLabs Inform(ED) IoT Security Conference, part of a two-day conference event that will be held April 12-13, 2017 in New York City, New York. 

Winners will be announced tonight. Six teams competing for $35,000 in cash prizes.

The Georgia Tech School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) both moved up and maintained its positions from last year in the 2018 U.S. News & World Report graduate engineering program rankings.

Georgia Tech students will present their best cybersecurity research before a panel of venture capitalists and business leaders for a chance to win cash at the “Demo Day Finale” on April 13.
