Sarah Grace Alexander won the Georgia Tech College of Engineering’s Staff Culture Advisory Council Culture Champion Award in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE).

The award highlights individuals who strive to build a better culture in their School and in the College. Recipients of the award are advocates for a positive and productive culture and truly strive to make a difference. The winners were announced at the College of Engineering Staff Engagement Day.

Alexander is the program and operations manager in the Chair’s Office. She provides promotional, administrative, performance assessment, and financial/accounting services for many of ECE’s initiatives, programs, and centers.

She was praised by colleagues for her professionalism and commitment to excellence while undertaking a wide variety of tasks. Specifically for her ability to make those around her feel valued and supported through the kindness she exudes during her many daily interactions.

Alexander is typically the first person visitors see in the administrative office suite and greets everyone with a genuine smile and a welcoming presence that immediately sets a positive tone.

Beyond these responsibilities, she was also lauded for consistently demonstrating initiative and playing a vital role in planning schoolwide events, improving administrative processes, and supporting whenever she’s needed.

ECE assistant director of research administration David Amwake won the award in 2024.
