The Georgia Tech School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) maintained its strong presence in the 2022 edition of the U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges issue, which includes undergraduate engineering program rankings. 

Electrical engineering maintained its fourth place position in the rankings for a sixth consecutive year. Computer engineering kept its fifth place spot, also the same as last year. For rankings among public universities alone, our electrical engineering and computer engineering programs both placed second among their respective disciplines.

The College of Engineering placed fourth, and all of the programs offered by the College placed among the top five of their respective disciplines. Among public universities, Georgia Tech’s engineering program ranks second behind the University of California, Berkeley, and Georgia Tech placed tenth among all public universities. Overall, Georgia Tech was fourth on the most innovative schools list and fourth for internship and co-op programs. It also ranked second in cybersecurity. 

“These impressive numbers show that we continue to do a tremendous job in both education and research, and that our hard work and dedication to excellence continues to be recognized and appreciated by our peers,” said Douglas M. Chaddick School Chair for ECE. “These factors make ECE an excellent option for prospective undergraduate students who are looking for a challenging and rewarding educational experience. I think that we have many reasons to be excited and optimistic about our future.”
