Both graduate programs in the Georgia Tech School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) dropped a spot in the 2020 U.S. News & World Report graduate engineering program rankings. Despite this, the overall standing is still good for ECE, with the computer engineering graduate program ranking fifth and our electrical engineering program ranking sixth.

The College of Engineering placed seventh in the overall graduate rankings and third among all public engineering institutions. All of the graduate programs in the College ranked in the top 10 of their respective areas for the eighth consecutive year. In terms of rankings among public universities, both the electrical engineering and computer engineering graduate programs placed third, the same positions as last year.
According to Magnus Egerstedt, the Steve W. Chaddick School Chair for ECE, these latest rankings show that many years of hard work and dedication by the Georgia Tech ECE community and its commitment to excellence are noticed by our peers.
