Research Interests

Sonnenberg-Klein works at the intersection of education research and program development. Her research examines the impact of experiential learning on career outcomes, issues of access, how curricular policies and institutional structures shape student and faculty participation, and multidisciplinarity in education. 

Teaching Interests

Professor Sonnenberg-Klein’s teaching interests include core electrical and computer engineering topics at both undergraduate and graduate levels. She emphasizes fundamental concepts in machine learning, data science, and their applications within engineering. Her instructional approach supports student engagement through practical problem-solving and interdisciplinary understanding, fostering skills essential for advancing technology research and innovation in computing and engineering domains.
