The Opportunity Research Scholars (ORS) Program has been selected as the inaugural recipient of Georgia Tech’s Award for Excellence in High-Impact Practices and Experiential Learning.
This award recognizes units that have successfully implemented high-impact practices in their curriculum and co-curricular experiences. It was developed as a joint effort between the Office of Experiential and Engaging Learning and the Center for Teaching and Learning.
“Develop[ing] Georgia Tech’s Award for Excellence in High-Impact Practices and Experiential Learning was an intentional step toward supporting Big Bet 1.2, the Transformative Teaching and Learning Initiative, and recognizing the offices and teams who are doing exceptional work embedding high‐impact practices into the student experience, said Christopher Reaves, associate vice provost for Undergraduate Education and Student Success and executive director for the Office of Experiential and Engaged Learning. “The award reinforces Georgia Tech’s tradition and commitment to ‘learning via practice’ and ensures that the outstanding work happening across Tech is both recognized on campus and visible at the system level.”
