Georgia Tech School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) communications program manager Martina Lindo received the Soaring Jacket Award at the annual College of Engineering Staff Appreciation Day.

The award recognizes an exceptional employee who is a self-motivated critical thinker who holds themselves accountable for the quality of their work and their interactions with others.

Among the eight schools in the College of Engineering, Lindo is the first communications professional to receive this honor, making the recognition a milestone for her field.

Lindo, who has been with ECE since 2022, was recognized by her colleagues for the positive and solution-focused mindset she brings to projects.

Her work has helped elevate ECE’s digital presence in many ways.

Lindo played an instrumental role in the creation of a number of new ECE webpages, many times starting them from scratch and making them easy to navigate with easily understandable information.

She also leads many of ECE’s social media campaigns, highlighting the work of the School’s faculty, staff, and students.

Beyond her communications responsibilities, she is also an instructor for GT 1000, where she helps mentor incoming Georgia Tech students.
