
Some of the Georgia Tech School of Electrical and Computer Engineering's most outstanding students, staff, and faculty were recognized at the 2025 Roger P. Webb Awards Program on Tuesday, April 8.
For the first time ever, the event was held at the Georgia Tech Alumni House. The School also introduced a Teaching Excellence Award for Non-Tenure Track Faculty and formally recognized student nominees for Institute-level awards.
Professor Gabriel Rincón-Mora was honored with the most prestigious and final award of the ceremony, the Distinguished Faculty Achievement Award, for his career achievements and sustained contributions to his field and ECE.

Undergraduate Student Awards
HKN Outstanding Computer Engineering Sophomore Award
Eta Kappy Nu (HKN), the honor society for ECE, recognizes the computer engineering student who is in their second year and who has the highest scholastic average.

This award is given to the electrical or computer engineering student who, in the opinion of the ECE faculty, has done the most to improve the educational environment within ECE.

Computer Engineering Senior Scholars
This award is presented to the electrical engineering seniors who have earned a 4.0 GPA during their entire academic career. There were 22 computer engineering students that qualified for the award this year.

Institute Award Nominees

Helen Grenga Outstanding Woman Engineer Award
The award, which is named after Georgia Tech’s first full-tenured female engineering professor, is given annually to one female-identifying student who excels in their academic pursuits and works to create a more inclusive and diverse engineering community.
