The undergraduate computer engineering program at Georgia Tech has been ranked the top public program in the country in the U.S. News & World Report 2025 Best Colleges list.

Both programs in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) received high marks with each of the two programs coming in at No. 4 nationally.

Computer engineering (Cmp.E) tied the program’s highest ever ranking, having been ranked No. 4 twice in the past, including most recently in the 2023 rankings

Electrical engineering (EE) held steady at No. 4 nationally for the second year in a row (and nine out of the last 10 years). EE is second among public universities.

“These latest rankings are very gratifying as it shows the impact of the innovative work being done by our faculty and students,” ECE Steve W. Chaddick School Chair Arijit Raychowdhury said. "We are proud of the strong technical foundation and experiential, hands-on learning opportunities afforded to our students. We look forward to continuing to equip them with the relevant skills and experiences needed to excel both in the classroom and far beyond."

The College of Engineering came in at fourth among all undergraduate engineering programs.

ECE also recently received high rankings for their graduate programs, with both Cmp.E and EE being top six in the country and top three among public universities.
